CAIRO, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - A husband and a wife from the southern Egyptian city of Asyut have been hospitalized with serious injuries after a violent disagreement over their newborn son's name, local media said on Monday.
The woman said that the couple had failed to come to an agreement on what to name the baby during her pregnancy. After the child's birth, their arguments became more and more heated, leading to an eventual no-holds-barred punch up.
"We had been quarreling for a week, and one day we began to sort the matter out with our fists," the husband admitted.
The two parents promised police that during their time in hospital they would try to choose a name for their son in a more peaceful manner.
