Matveyeva wins Russia's fourth gold at Euro weightlifting

MOSCOW, May 4 (RIA Novosti) - Tatyana Matveyeva won gold in the women's 69kg category Thursday to bring Russia its fourth gold at the 2006 European weightlifting championship in Wladyslawowo, Poland.
Matveyeva lifted a total of 257kg, beating her rivals both in the snatch (112kg) and in the clean and jerk (145kg). Natalya Davydova of Ukraine took silver with a total of 239 kilograms (109kg in the snatch and 130kg in the clean and jerk). Dominika Misterska of Poland finished third with a total of 221 kilograms.
