Russia's Vladimir Kramnik wins World Chess Championship

MOSCOW, October 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russian chess grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik won the 12-game final match for the World Chess Champion title on Friday, against FIDE world champion Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria in Elista, southern Russia.
Kramnik, won the match with a overall score of 8.5-7.5 in a series of short games, after the players' 6:6 draw in the first 12 games
The Russian, playing white, won Friday's tiebreak games 2.5:1.5.
