MOSCOW, February 11 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Anna Chakvetadze moved up one place to sixth in the Women Tennis Association Rating list published on Monday.
The Russian player, who turned 20 last year, moved up after winning the Open Gaz de France tennis tournament in Paris last Sunday, beating Agnes Szavay of Hungary in the final 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
Chakvetadze now has 2925 points and is just behind another Russian player, former world No 1 Maria Sharapova, who is in fifth place with 3061 points.
Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova is still in third place with 3760 points.
The rest of the top ten is as follows: 1. Justine Henin, Belgium (6555 points), 2. Ana Ivanovic, Serbia (3827), 4. Jelena Jankovic, Serbia (3695), 7. Venus Williams, the United States (2720), 8. Daniela Hantuchova, Slovakia (2682), 9. Marion Bartoli, France (2198), 10. Serena Williams, the United States (2022).
