MOSCOW, January 26 (RIA Novosti) - Fourth-seeded Elena Dementieva had no trouble dispatching her opposition on Monday to move into the quarterfinals of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.

Dementieva will join fellow Russians Svetlana Kuznetsova, third-seeded Dinara Safina and Vera Zvonareva, seeded seventh, in the last eight of the grand slam tournament.

Dementieva, the Beijing Olympic gold medalist, overpowered Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova to win in straight sets (6:2, 6:2) and will now face unseeded Carla Suarez Navarro from Spain, who earlier defeated her compatriot Anabel Medina Garrigues.

Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova, seeded eight, also went through to the last eight after China's Jie Cheng (22) retired with a wrist injury.

Kuznetsova, who made 68 unforced errors in her third round match on Saturday and is struggling to find her form, will play second-seeded Serena Williams in the quarters.
