Muay Thai amateur champ found dead in Moscow

According to the Voice of Russia radio station, Abdullayev won the European Muay Thai championships in 2004. A year later he won the gold medal in the 81 kg category at the world amateur championships in Bangkok.

Amateur Muay Thai world champion, Muslim Abdullayev, has been found dead in Moscow, the investigation department of the Russian Prosecutor's Office said on Friday.
"At about 22:00 Moscow time [19:00 GMT on Thursday] the body of the 27-year-old... world Thai boxing champion Muslim Abdullayev was found with a gunshot wound to the head," the department said on its website.
Investigators are working at the scene.
According to the Voice of Russia radio station, Abdullayev won the European Muay Thai championships in 2004. A year later he won the gold medal in the 81 kg category at the world amateur championships in Bangkok.
