Roman Pavlyuchenko's former club Spartak Moscow are unwilling to pay Tottenham Hotspur's asking price of 15 million pounds ($24.3 million) to bring the unsettled international back to Russia.

"Fifteen million pounds is roughly 20 million euros. That's more than we sold him for. We don't intend to take him back for that kind of money," Spartak Moscow manager Valery Karpin told the Sovetsky Sport paper.

Pavlyuchenko signed for Tottenham from Spartak in August 2008. He scored five goals in 30 Premier League matches in his debut season, hitting another eight in cup competitions, including six as Spurs reached the final of the Carling Cup.

But with the arrival of Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane to the club, Pavlyuchenko lost his place in the first side and has only played one full game for the team since the start of the season - a Carling Cup tier against Doncaster Rovers.

Liverpool, Fulham, Galatasaray, Roma, Lokomotiv Moscow and Zenit have also been linked with the striker.
