Canada and the United States both won their ice hockey Group A opening games at the XXI Olympics in Vancouver.
The Olympic hosts began their Olympic hockey tournament with a thrashing victory against Norway, scoring eight goals against zero from the Scandinavian team.
The United States also showed confidence on Tuesday at the Canada Hockey Place beating Switzerland 3:1.
On February 18 the teams will swap oppponents, starting with the United States against Norway.
Norway and Switzerland will play each other on Saturday February 20, while the United States will meet Canada on Sunday.
