Olympic constructors are putting the final touches to the Extreme snowboard park and freestyle center ahead of key test events next month.
The facilities include a total of three kilometers of slopes equipped with jumps that cater for all aerial tricks and a 170-meter-long half-pipe.
"The freestyle skiers can demonstrate their mastery in the half-pipe, which is 170 meters long and 6.7 meters high," a statement by the Olimpstroy state constructor said Friday.
The Extreme park hosts test events in February and March including the Cup of Russia and the Europa Cup for freestyle in seven disciplines: parallel slalom, parallel giant slalom, snowboard cross, acrobatic skiing, mogul freestyle, half-pipe and ski cross.
It is situated at the Rosa Khutor ski resort, which will also hold all of the alpine skiing events at Russia's first-ever Winter Olympics in 2014.
