Woman frightens police with ‘cake bomb’

A female Muscovite has been detained and admitted to a psychiatric clinic after arriving at the Russian Interior Ministry’s Criminology Center with a cake box that she claimed contained a bomb, a police source said.

The incident took place on Thursday evening. A sapper team called in to inspect the suspicious box stated that the cake inside it contained no explosive devices.
