The chapel is located opposite the area where the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers collapsed in 2001, killing over 3,000 people. So far, 2,750 victims have been identified. Their names are inscribed on Flags of Honor in the Lower Manhattan district, which witnessed the worst terrorist attack in history. The victims’ names were also read aloud on the spot where the towers once stood.
