UPDATE: Iranian nuclear center resumes operations

TEHRAN, August 8 (RIA Novosti, Nikolai Terekhov) - Iran has resumed operations at its Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center, despite EU warnings.

The International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) seals on equipment were removed with IAEA experts present.

Last week, Tehran informed the IAEA about its plans to resume uranium ore processing at Isfahan. The decision came after the EU failed to provide a package of proposals addressing Iran's nuclear programs before August 1.

The European Troika, also known as the Big Three, (Britain, France, and Germany) only submitted proposals August 5. However, Tehran dismissed the initiatives as ignoring Iran's sovereign right to uranium-enrichment efforts and to create a complete nuclear cycle.

The EU views Iran's move as a denunciation of its voluntary moratorium on uranium enrichment.
