Kazakhstan, Russia discuss aerospace complex
Danial Akhmetov and Alexei Fyodorov focused on the use of MiG-31D fighters in the Ishim aerospace project.
Fyodorov spoke about the fighter's characteristics and said Russia was interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan on the launch of micro-satellites.
Akhmetov said Kazakhstan intended to involve experts of the world's leading companies in the project implementation.
The Ishim aerospace complex is designed to launch small civil satellites into low earth orbits.
A MiG-31 fighter will be used to carry a small missile with a 160-kilogram satellite to the necessary altitude. Having detached from the carrier aircraft, the missile will reach a higher altitude and put the satellite into low earth orbit.
