TEHRAN, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - An S-130 military transport aircraft crashed into a 10-story apartment building in the Iranian capital, Iranian television said Tuesday.
The building is on fire. Three fire engines are headed to the scene along with 20 ambulances and three rescue helicopters, the source said.
The plane was trying to make an emergency landing at the Tehran airport but crashed into the building at 1:10 p.m. Moscow time (10:10 a.m. GMT).
Initial reports suggest that 10 crewmembers and 80 passengers were aboard the plane. No victims have been reported yet.
