KIEV, December 20 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine expects Russia to come up with a set of documents on cooperation in the natural gas sector, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov said Tuesday.
"Ukraine is awaiting Russia's proposals on liberalizing the natural gas market. We are ready for talks and to create a new legal base," Yekhanurov said at a news conference in Kiev.
The premier specified that Ukraine expected an intergovernmental agreement that had been proposed for consideration and a decision on a gas pricing formula from Russia.
Ukrainian national joint stock company Neftegaz Ukrainy and Russian energy giant Gazprom are bound by contract until 2013 by contract, Yekhanurov said.
He characterized Gazprom as a reliable structure, supplying Europe with natural gas.
