TEHRAN, June 5 (RIA Novosti) - The European Union's foreign policy supremo will arrive in Tehran Monday evening to give Iranian officials proposals drafted by the six nations leading efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear problem, the Russian Embassy said.

Javier Solana, EU High Commissioner for Common Foreign and Security Policy, will visit the Iranian capital after the foreign ministers of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany met in Vienna last week to thrash out proposals in a bid to resolve the crisis around the Islamic Republic's controversial nuclear programs.

"Javier Solana will arrive in Tehran tonight," the embassy said. "Austrian diplomats are likely to meet him at the airport [as Austria currently presides over the EU]."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after the meeting in Vienna that the Iran 6 proposals covered three aspects: Iran's nuclear program, trade and economic cooperation with Tehran, and security guarantees.

The minister said the Vienna gathering had agreed the UN Security Council would take no actions against Iran if the Islamic Republic halted its uranium enrichment activities in compliance with decisions by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear watchdog.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Saturday Tehran was ready to consider proposals worked out in Vienna.

"Iran will thoroughly consider these proposals and present its position on them," he said.
