KIEV, June 15 (RIA Novosti) - About 2 million people in Ukraine's eastern Dnepropetrovsk region have been without water for two days after electricity providers cut off power to a local water utility over unpaid debts, the city administration said Thursday.
Dneproblenergo cut off power supplies to several water pumps over an outstanding debt of 203 mln hryvnyas (about $40 mln), leaving two cities in the region, including parts of Dnepropetrovsk, without water.
The regional administration said it did not know when water supplies would be resumed.
