KIEV, June 21 (RIA Novosti) - Three pro-Western parties have initialed a deal on forming a majority coalition in Ukraine's parliament, a representative for pro-presidential bloc Our Ukraine said Wednesday.

If a coalition agreement is signed, it will bring an end to months of political wrangling among Ukraine's political parties, after parliamentary elections March 26 failed to produce a clear winner. Talks between pro-Western groups had previously stalled over issues including nominations to key positions.

"A draft coalition agreement has been initialed by all three participants [in the talks]. I have endorsed it, and now it will go before parliament," Roman Zvarych said.

He said a session of Our Ukraine's political council had put forward Petro Poroshenko for parliament speaker.

Parliament will discuss the move June 22, in time for June 24, the deadline by which if parliament fails to forge a coalition, President Viktor Yushchenko could disband the Supreme Rada and call new elections.
