KIEV, June 23 (RIA Novosti) - Yulia Tymoshenko's candidacy for premiership has been submitted to Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko for approval, a representative of a pro-presidential party said Friday.
The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, Our Ukraine and the Socialist Party formed a coalition majority in the country's parliament Thursday.
The leader of the Socialist Party, Oleksandr Moroz, said representation for Tymoshenko had been given to the president Thursday and Roman Bezsmertny, a senior member of Our Ukraine pro-presidential party, confirmed this today.
Under Ukrainian law, the coalition is entitled to appoint the prime minister and most Cabinet members, whose candidacies then should be approved by the president.
