Members of the Party of Regions faction have been continuing blocking the rostrum in the Supreme Rada since early Tuesday in a bid to prevent a session from meeting.
"We are prepared to block the parliament's work for 30 days if it is necessary," Viktor Yanukovych said, adding that the Rada would have to be dissolved in 30 days if its members failed to hold a session.
The Party of Regions, which won the largest share in the March 26 parliamentary vote, had not been invited to join a coalition majority formed by pro-presidential grouping Our Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko's bloc, and the Socialist Party.
The new coalition, formed June 22, after months of political wrangling, is entitled to appoint the prime minister and most Cabinet members.
