TEHRAN, July 6 (RIA Novosti) - Iran's top negotiator on the country's nuclear program will arrive in Spain on Thursday for a one-day visit after talks with the EU foreign policy chief in Brussels.

Ali Larijani said Wednesday that talks with Javier Solana in Brussels had been postponed over an alleged threat to the Iranian delegation from anti-Iran terrorist groups based in Europe.

Solana and Larijani are expected to discuss a package of incentives drafted by five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany in a bid to persuade Iran to suspend work on enriching uranium, which the countries fear could be used in weapons production. Tehran insists it needs nuclear fuel for generating electricity.

According to Iranian media, Larijani will meet with Spain's prime minister and foreign minister to discuss the Iran-6 proposals, bilateral relations and international issues.

The Iranian delegation, which also includes Foreign Ministry officials, will head for Bern in Switzerland on Friday night.
