MOSCOW, July 10 (RIA Novosti) - Two astronauts on the International Space Station started a space walk half-an-hour ahead of schedule, a spokesman for Russia's national space agency said Monday.

Igor Panarin said the ISS crew's extra-vehicular activity "is going according to plan, except for the timing" of the outing.

The astronauts are expected to spend about six-and-a-half hours walking in space.

The ISS crew returned to its usual three-member format last Thursday as U.S. flight engineer Jeff Williams and Russian commander Pavel Vinogradov were joined by German astronaut Thomas Reiter, delivered to the orbital station by U.S. space shuttle Discovery.
