TEHRAN, July 13 (RIA Novosti) - Iran said Thursday negotiations were the only way to resolve the controversy around its nuclear programs and warned the international community against making any harsh decisions.

"Any harsh decision may hurt all [interested] parties," Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said, commenting on Wednesday's meeting of Iran-6 foreign ministers in Paris, France.

"Iran wants peace and order and we advise them [the West] to adhere to the same standpoint," the minister said.

"We intend to continue work to find a comprehensive approach to the resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue," Mottaki said.
