The Russian Emergencies Ministry earlier said that two planes had brought over 330 evacuees from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States to Moscow on Thursday night as fighting continues in Lebanon.
Lebanon's prime minister has said more than 300 have been killed since Israeli missile and air strikes started over a week ago, and hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee. Israelis casualties from attacks mounted by militant group Hizbollah have been put at 29.
Russian Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu said the third plane, an Il-86, with 372 people on board was ready to take off from an international airport in Latakia, Syria.
The minister said the evacuation had been coordinated by the Foreign Ministry and the emergencies ministry teams were providing operational support in Latakia and Beirut.
According to the ministry, three Russian planes - two commercial Il-86 and a ministry Il-76 - are at Latakia airport and ready to continue the evacuation effort.
Shoigu said that there were no more flights scheduled for Thursday but the operation would continue later throughout the week.
