TEHRAN, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - Iran will produce some amount of nuclear fuel on its territory to satisfy the country's energy demands, the influential Supreme National Security Council said Thursday.

"Under Iran's legislation, 20,000 MW of nuclear energy will be produced in the next 20 years and some nuclear fuel will be produced in the country," the council said.

The council also said Iran was ready for talks as they represented the only reasonable and logical way of resolving the crisis around its nuclear program.

"Iran will have no other option but to review its nuclear policy if confrontation is chosen instead of talks," the council said.
