KIEV, July 26 (RIA Novosti) - Thousands of supporters of the pro-Russian Party of Regions who surrounded the Ukrainian parliament's building Wednesday morning are now heading for the presidential secretariat.
Other groups are moving to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Interior Ministry, local police said, adding that no violations of public order had been recorded.
The supporters are planning to demand that President Viktor Yushchenko submit the candidacy of their leader Viktor Yanukovych for prime minister to parliament.
Yushchenko had proposed Tuesday holding a roundtable to discuss how to resolve the protracted political crisis in the country but refused to attend the event scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
Yushchenko's press service said the roundtable was not on the president's schedule for July 26.
