BELGRADE, October 19 (RIA Novosti) - A series of explosions have rocked an ammunition dump near the Serbian town of Paracin, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) southeast of Belgrade.
Several people were injured by shards of glass blown out from the depot's windows, and everyone has been evacuated from the army base.
Police have sealed off the nearby industrial town, and blocked highway leading from Belgrade to the Serbia's second city, Nis. Large-scale damage to buildings in Paracin has been reported.
Serbian Defense Minister Zoran Stankovic said on national TV that no one was killed in the incident.
The minister said police and military experts were working on the scene to determine the cause of the explosions. He also warned that more explosions could follow.
