Georgian foreign debt, liabilities total $1.76 billion

TBILISI, November 10 (RIA Novosti) - Georgia's foreign debt and government loan liabilities totaled $1.76 billion as of October 31, according to the country's Finance Ministry.
Foreign debt alone stands at $1.67 billion, including $594.6 million owed to 16 creditor nations. The largest creditors are Russia ($147 million), Austria ($93) and Germany ($74 million).
Georgia also owes about $1 billion to international financial institutions, including $232 million to the International Monetary Fund and $744 million to the World Bank.
The data, based on currency exchange rates as of October 31, excludes funds for debt servicing.
