BEIJING, February 11 (RIA Novosti) - The six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program could be concluded February 12, a source close to the negotiations said Sunday.

The signs of progress at the talks in Beijing appeared when the parties discussed the size of aid to North Korea in exchange for the reclusive regime's consent to give up its nuclear program, the source said.

The talks, which also involve South Korea, China, Japan and Russia, resumed Thursday in the Chinese capital amid hopes for progress toward implementing a September 2005 agreement, in which Pyongyang committed itself to halting its nuclear activities in return for economic and security incentives.

The size of aid will be crucial for the participants in the talks either to issue a joint statement with a binding plan of action or just a statement by the host country.
