TBILISI, March 12 (RIA Novosti) - A Georgian military helicopter crashed early Monday in the east of the country, leaving three people dead, a defense ministry official said.
"At approximately 00.30, a Mi-24 Hind helicopter of the Georgian Air Force crashed near Lake Bazaleti," said Levan Nikoleishvili, a deputy defense minister.
He said poor weather conditions may have caused the helicopter to crash, which had been en route to western Georgia.
