BISHKEK, March 28 (RIA Novosti) - Five ministers in the Kyrgyz Cabinet, which was formed early last month, have been told to resign, a source in the Kyrgyz government said Wednesday.

The source said First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Usenov, Emergencies Minister Dzhanysh Rustenbekov, Economic Development and Trade Minister Sabyrbek Moldokulov, Health Minister Shailoobek Niyazsov and Minister Tynychbek Tabyldiyev, the government chief-of-staff, have been dismissed.

Although the Kyrgyz government has not so far issued any official confirmation, the press expects Prime Minister Azim Isabekov to make a statement soon.

In late January, parliament approved Azim Isabekov as prime minister, following a standoff between the president and lawmakers.

Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev nominated Isabekov after MPs twice rejected the candidacy of former premier Felix Kulov, who resigned late last year after mass protests in the impoverished ex-Soviet state that forced through a series of amendments to the Constitution.
