WARSAW, April 23 (RIA Novosti) - A Warsaw court Monday sentenced three Polish men found guilty of a 2005 attack on the children of Russian diplomats in Poland to 12 and 10 months in prison, and to a three-month suspended sentence.

On July 31, 2005, about 10-15 local teenagers beat up three Russian children - Artyom Konovalov, Kirill Levin and Alexei Kudryavtsev - in a park on Idzikowski Street in southern Warsaw, stealing their cell phones and pocket money.

All three will be released immediately for time already served.

The attack was viewed as a result of the anti-Russian campaign in the Polish media that may have been fuelled by some of the country's politicians.

At the time of the attack, the Russian Embassy in Warsaw sent a note of protest to the Polish Foreign Ministry and the Polish Ambassador to Poland was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. Poland expressed regret over the incident.
