TBILISI, May 7 (RIA Novosti) - Georgia's prime minister returned to Tbilisi late Sunday after undergoing bypass surgery in the United States, Georgia's Imedi television company said Monday.

There has been no comment so far from Zurab Nogaideli, 42, but his press service said the head of government feels well and will resume his duties in the next few days.

Surgeons replaced one of his mitral valves April 19 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas.

The prime minister of the South Caucasus nation was advised to undergo the surgery when he felt unwell during a weeklong official visit to the U.S.

Nogaideli will now have to visit the Houston clinic for checkups once every eight months.
