HONG KONG, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Shanghai city is to get Asia's first Icebar at the end of June, the China Daily newspaper said Wednesday.
The 100 square meter bar will be built out of 45 tons of Swiss ice. All walls, furniture, lamps and even glasses will be made from ice reflecting the specially designed Artic interior.
The temperature will be maintained at a cool -5 degrees Celsius (23 Fahrenheit) and twice a year the bar will close and the ice replaced. On arrival visitors will be given Eskimo clothing and advised not to spend more than 45 minutes at the bar.
Similar bars are already up and running in Milan, Stockholm, London, Tokyo and Copenhagen.
