MOSCOW, June 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Sochi awaits the findings of a committee on its bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics, set to be released along with verdicts on its two competitors later Monday.

The 13-member Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission for 2014 games have assessed the south Russian resort city, as well as South Korea's PyeongChang and Austria's Salzburg, using 17 basic criteria, including transportation, accommodation, technology, media facilities, environmental impact, finance, security, sports venues, Olympic villages and other amenities.

The commission's vice president, Chiharu Igaya, said he saw no weak points in Sochi as a possible venue for the XXII Winter Olympic Games, but voiced concern over the amount of development required within a relatively short timeframe.

"Sochi has no weak points - there are probably some problems, and issues to be resolved," he said, citing the number of facilities that needed to be built within seven years.

The commission's findings will be summarized and submitted to IOC members one month before the official announcement of the 2014 Olympics host city, which will take place July 4, 2007 during the IOC's 119th session in Guatemala City.
