BRUSSELS, June 21 (RIA Novosti) - The European Union's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, confirmed Thursday that he will hold a meeting in Lisbon Saturday with Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani.
Solana and Larijani held unofficial talks on June 1, a meeting that ended with little progress in resolving a dispute over Tehran's controversial uranium enrichment program.
Iran currently faces more stringent international sanctions after failing to halt uranium enrichment by the May 24 deadline set by the UN Security Council.
