ATHENS, July 12 (RIA Novosti) - Emergency medics said 51 people have been injured in a collision between a commuter train and a cargo train near Athens Thursday.
"A total of 51 people have been hurt, but there are no serious injuries," Nikos Papaeustathiou, the head of the national ambulance center, told state television. He said the evacuation effort had nearly been completed.
The collision occurred at around 7:25 a.m. local time (4:25 a.m. GMT), but none of the trains derailed.
