ISLAMABAD, July 18 (RIA Novosti) - At least 16 civilians and soldiers have died and more than 10 are wounded following Wednesday morning's roadside bomb blast in northwest Pakistan, the army press service said.

The attack against a convoy of army trucks in North Waziristan is the latest militant strike in the province near Afghanistan, and comes one day after a suicide bomber killed three servicemen and a civilian at a nearby military post.

Sixteen people have so far died following Tuesday's terrorist attack outside a court in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, and around 50 are wounded.

A suicide bomber blew himself up on a street near the court just before former Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, an opponent of President Pervez Musharraf, was due to address a rally of opposition supporters.
