MOSCOW, July 26 (RIA Novosti) - Admiral Henry G. Ulrich, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, will visit a Russian nuclear powered missile carrying submarine and heavy missile cruiser, the Defense Ministry said Thursday.
A U.S. military delegation, led by Adm. Henry G. Ulrich, will visit the Northern Fleet July 28-30.
"Adm. Ulrich will meet with Northern Fleet Commander Adm. Vladimir Vysotsky and Murmansk Governor Yury Yevdokimov. Then he will visit the Yekaterinburg nuclear powered submarine," the Defense Ministry said in a press release posted on its official Web site.
The U.S. delegation will participate in Russian Navy Day celebrations (July 29) aboard the nuclear powered missile cruiser Pyotr Veliky.
The ministry said Adm. Ulrich's visit is the first to the Northern Fleet by a ranking U.S. Navy official in the past 11 years.
