TOKYO, August 14 (RIA Novosti) - Hundreds of people are dead or missing after a week of torrential rain and flooding in North Korea , the official Korean Central News Agency said Tuesday.
Over 63,000 homes have been flooded, and more than 540 bridges and at least 74 railway lines have been damaged, the agency said. Many regions in the impoverished country have been left without electricity or communications.
The country's capital, Pyongyang, has been severely hit by the extreme weather.
