GAZA/TEL AVIV, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - Three Islamist Palestinian fighters were killed in an Israeli air raid in the center of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, a Gaza City radio station reported, citing eyewitnesses.
The gunmen were members of Islamic Jihad's armed wing, al-Quds Brigades, the radio said. Another Palestinian was wounded and seized by Israeli troops who entered Gaza, local media said.
Israel's army confirmed the air raid, saying it was targeting a group of fighters spotted around 600 meters from the Israeli border.
A separate Israeli air strike on Monday killed six people, according to Palestinian medical officials. Tel Aviv said the men were members of a group that fired rockets into Israel.
