ANKARA, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian baby born two months prematurely when his parents were on holiday in Turkey was released from hospital and sent home on Friday, Russia's deputy consular general said.

Sergei Korsakov was delivered by caesarean section in late August in Kemer on the Mediterranean coast, but was too ill to travel home with his parents, who returned to Russia after being unable to pay the medical bill at an Antalya hospital.

After a dispute with their insurance company, the Russian Consulate General mediated, and the newborn's medical expenses were paid.

The mother, Yulia Korsakova, had traveled to Turkey with her husband, Aleksei Maryanin, while seven months pregnant despite doctors' warnings against the trip.

Korsakova gave birth prematurely, a few days after arriving at her hotel in Turkey. The child weighed just 1 kilogram (2 pounds 3 ounces) at birth.

Little Sergei was brought to the airplane in an incubator accompanied by his mother and three doctors, Russia's deputy consular general, Sergei Koritsky, said.
