TOKYO, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian national has been arrested in Niigata, on the west coast of Honshu, Japan, for stealing a total of $48,000 from a gaming hall, a police spokesman said.
On September 24, Yuri Markov, 26, and an accomplice are believed to have robbed a gaming hall employee of a bag containing money that had been collected from slot machines.
Police said security cameras had helped them to track down Markov.
However, the spokesman said Markov, who works with a company supplying Japanese cars to Russia, did not plead guilty.
Police are currently searching for the second suspect.
