GAZA, October 30 (RIA Novosti) - Four babies, three boys and a girl, have been born to a couple in the troubled Gaza Strip, Palestinian television reported on Tuesday.
Nada, 29, delivered the babies, weighing between 1.5 to 1.8 kilograms (3.3-4 pounds) in the southern town of Rafah. The couple already have a son and a daughter.
Despite a difficult economic situation in Gaza, isolated since the radical movement Hamas took control of the Palestinian enclave, the father said he was happy, and that the birth of the quadruplets was "Allah's blessing."
The Gaza Strip has one of the world's highest birth rates. A 25-year-old woman delivered five healthy babies - four boys and a girl - by caesarean section in the Shifa Hospital in February. And two years ago, another woman had sextuplets in the same hospital.
