PARIS, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - A parcel bomb went off in central Paris on Thursday killing one person and wounding at least five others, French police reported.
Earlier reports said six people were wounded.
Police said an explosive device was left in a bag on Boulevard des Malesherbes, near a law firm where President Nicolas Sarkozy previously worked.
French Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie has cut short her visit to Brussels, and will return to Paris to oversee police and rescue work at the site of the attack.
