GAZA, December 14 (RIA Novosti) - An explosion hit a funeral procession in the Gaza Strip, killing at least three people and injuring over 30, a Palestinian health ministry spokesman said on Friday.
Dr. Muavi Khasanen said at least six people had been badly wounded by the blast, possibly caused by a hand grenade accidentally dropped amid mourners for three Islamist militants killed in the north of the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
In further trouble in Gaza, unknown gunmen abducted a senior Fatah adviser, a spokesman for the movement said.
Omar Al-Ghoul, an adviser to Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and an outspoken critic of Hamas, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen early on Friday.
Al-Ghoul, who had come to attend a relative's funeral, was the first Fatah politician abducted in the Gaza Strip since Hamas seized control in June.
No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping so far.
