SYDNEY, December 27 (RIA Novosti) - An elephant has fallen out of a truck and crushed a circus employee to death in Australia, national media said on Thursday.
The elephant was being offloaded from a Stardust Circus truck for a Friday evening show in Yamba, about 700 km (435 miles) from Sydney, when it fell, killing a man standing nearby. The elephant was a 49-year-old Asiatic, called Arna.
The dead man, believed to have been the elephant's handler, suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and died at the scene, doctors said.
