WARSAW, January 22 (RIA Novosti) - Former Czech president Vaclav Havel, who was hospitalized on Saturday with heart arrhythmia and respiratory inflammation, is feeling considerably better, the ex-president's adviser said on Tuesday.

Jakub Hladic told reporters that Havel, 71, hopes he will be able to attend the premiere of a new film about his life, Citizen Havel, on January 30.

The former Czech president is likely to stay at the Prague Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine for two weeks.

Havel, an anti-communist dissident and playwright, was elected the president of Czechoslovakia in the country's bloodless 1989 Velvet Revolution, which put an end to decades of communist rule.

Havel was elected president of the Czech Republic in 1993 after Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia and remained in office until 2003.
