LONDON, February 10 (RIA Novosti) - A bomb threat that sparked the evacuation of more than 500 oil workers from an oil rig in the North Sea was false, British TV channel Sky News said on Sunday.
Sky News earlier reported that an unidentified person called the police and said that a bomb had been planted on an oil rig located more than 100 miles northwest of Aberdeen.
The operation to evacuate the oil rig personnel involved 14 helicopters.
