HAGUE, February 20 (RIA Novosti) - Dutch highways are the safest in Europe according to a European road safety report, Dutch media said on Wednesday.
The road safety report involving 19 EU countries stated that the safest highways are in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark and Britain.
The report comes ahead of a European Parliament session to discuss February 26 new road safety laws aimed at cutting deaths.
A measure that the report states would reduce deaths on European highways is introducing more roadside speed cameras and fines.
